Sheet Music: The Major Scale-One Octave
Greetings Guitarists,
This is one of my favorite major scale shapes that you can use to compose, improvise, and practice your technique in an key! The best thing you can do is to master playing the major scale ascending and descending with alternate picking and good left hand position. After you do that try pulling up a backing track on youtube to practice your licks over. Here is one of my favorite:
In order to play over this you can start your major scale on fret 2 or fret 14.
Finally, try to play the scale in thirds to develop new routes for your fingers to take while improvising.
All for now!
Jake
